Warton Metals the UK manufactures of OMEGA Rosin Free Cored Solder Wire have introduced two new formulations into the Omega range:-

• Omega BW - Offering a brush wipe halide free residue for operations that require extreme cleanliness without the use of solvent bench top cleaners. Residues are easily removed with a dry brush. Omega BW is rated as an ORL0 flux type in accordance with J-STD-004 and passes the Surface Insulation Resistance and Corrosion requirements of both J-STD-004 and Bellcore GR-78 Core. Omega BW is available as a 1% Flux content wire ensuring minimal residues.

• Omega Plus - A very similar formulation to the already successful Original Omega Rosin Free Solder Wire. Omega exhibits minimal clear residues and offers an improved flow rate with an addition of halide activation ( performance in-line with old RMA technology ). Omega Plus is available as a 3%, 2% & 1% flux content to enable the user to determine between flow rate and acceptable residue levels. Omega Plus is rated as an ORL1 in accordance with J-STD-004 and passes the Surface insulation Resistance and Corrosion requirements of both J-STD-004 and Bellcore GR-78 Core.

All Omega formulations exhibit clear residues and are Rosin Free. Omega is available in all the alloys Warton manufacture, including an innovative range of Lead Free alloys and traditional 63/37, Low and High melting point alloys. For samples contact Warton Metals Ltd. UK.
