Warton offer a FREE dross collection, FREE dross buckets and
a FREE duty
of care service.
Dross Buckets
Telephone Customer Services for the
quantity of dross buckets you require and they will arrange for them to be
shipped out to
you. All buckets are supplied with lids to ensure safe return of waste.
Arranging your dross collection
When you have full dross buckets, phone Customer Services to
arrange the collection. The Customer Service representative will ask you how
many full buckets you have and they will check you have a Duty Of Care waste
transfer note completed.
The collection will usually take place the next day and
new dross buckets will be sent on request.
Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, it is necessary
to complete a Duty Of Care waste transfer note with all waste solder from your
company. In response to this legislation Warton Metals supply 12 month transfer
notes - FREE OF CHARGE, to be signed and returned.
We hold all the details on our central database, which is
open to inspection by the regulatory authorities to help you meet your legal
obligations. By completing a Duty of Care transfer note it ensures solder dross
is returned in line with current legislation. Failure to produce records of duty
of care could lead to a £5000 fine to yourselves, the carriers and ourselves.
Warton Metals can advise on any queries and provide the
transfer notes and assistance on disposing of solder dross.
The duty of care note has four copies. We fill in all the
details for you and then all is required is a signature in Section D. The white
copy and green copy is kept by the customer, the pink copy is kept by Warton and
the yellow copy is kept by the carriers.
